Spend Valentine's Day on the Run in Coronado

Coronado Valentine's Day 10K, 5K & 1 Mile brings waterfront miles, music and a celebration for couples, friends, families and solo runners on February 14, 2027

CORONADO, Calif. — Start Valentine's Day with fresh air, waterfront views and people who love to move. The Coronado Valentine's Day 10K, 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run returns to Tidelands Park on Sunday, February 14, 2027, inviting runners and walkers to make the holiday their own.

Participants can race for a personal goal, enjoy a relaxed walk with friends, bring the family or arrive solo. The flat, scenic Coronado course runs by San Diego Bay, and three distances offer different ways to take part. The 1 Mile Fun Run begins at 7:30 a.m.; the 10K and 5K start at 8 a.m.

The celebration extends beyond the miles. Participants can choose a playful relationship-status bib—Available, Taken or It's Complicated—and dress for the occasion. Live music, entertainment and finish-line food keep the morning festive. Registration includes a long-sleeve sun-protective technical shirt and a Valentine's Day finisher medal. The 2027 shirt and medal designs will be announced when finalized. Age-group tiki awards are offered for the 10K and 5K.

An optional moment to renew a commitment

For couples who want to add a meaningful moment to their Valentine's Day, the event offers a free group wedding vow renewal before the races. Couples registered for any distance may participate. Those joining the ceremony should gather in front of the starting arch by 7:10 a.m. for the 7:15 a.m. renewal. Friends and family are welcome to celebrate with them.

Supporting opportunities through sport

The event benefits both Life Sports Foundation and Islander Sports Foundation. Life Sports Foundation is the charity available for donations and fundraising through RunSignup and will make donations to Islander Sports Foundation for some of its programs.
