Coronado, CA — Love, laughter, and movement take center stage on Sunday, February 15, 2026, as the Coronado Valentine’s Day 10K, 5K & 1 Mile Run returns to beautiful Tidelands Park. This beloved San Diego tradition is one of the most fun, feel-good running events of the year — and it’s an experience participants won’t want to miss.

Known for its outstanding organization, welcoming atmosphere, and unforgettable Valentine’s Day spirit, this event brings together couples, families, friends, runners, walkers, and first-timers for a celebration of love, health, and community along the Coronado waterfront.

A Race With Heart ❤️

Before the race begins, couples registered in any distance are invited to take part in a free, non-denominational mass wedding vow renewal ceremony at the start line — one of the most emotional and talked-about traditions in San Diego running. Surrounded by friends, family, and fellow runners, couples renew their commitment moments before the starting horn sounds.

Last year’s ceremony drew hundreds of participants, and 2026 is expected to be even bigger.

“This event is about so much more than miles,” says Carrie Panek of KOZ Events. “It’s about celebrating love in all its forms — couples, families, friendships, and even self-love. The vow renewals are incredibly special and create a moment people remember forever.”

The flat, fast course offers an opportunity for runners to chase a personal best, while walkers and casual participants enjoy stunning views of San Diego Bay and the Coronado Bridge.
